Meet our wonderfully talented, creative teams and technical crews for our 2017 Season!

PIPER LINDSAY ARPAN (Director, Red Hot and Cole)

Piper is very excited to return to Cherry Creek Theatre after her debut with the company as the choreographer for ‘Baby.’ She is now a Denver based director, choreographer, and performer after almost a decade in NYC.  You may have seen her or her work locally at The Denver Center for the Performing Arts, The Arvada Center for Arts and Humanities, Lone Tree Arts CenterParker Arts Culture And Events Center, The Aurora Fox, or here at the MACC, to name a few.  She has performed in the First National Touring and Broadway companies of ‘Monty Python’s Spamalot,’ as a Radio City Rockette, in professional dance companies both nationally and internationally, in regional theatres, and on film and television including ‘The Producers Movie Musical.’ She holds a BFA and a BA from The Florida State University, magna cum laude. Piper has received several Henry, Ovation, and Broadway World nominations and awards for her direction, choreography, and on-stage performance. Still, her most challenging and rewarding role is wife to her husband Dino and mom to her three year old son Tucker.

 

GAVIN MAYER (Director, The Baby Dance)

Gavin’s credits include The Mountaintop, White Christmas, Disney’s Tarzan, A Christmas Carol the Musical, Curtains (Henry Nomination for Best Director and Best Musical), Miracle on 34th Street and Legally Blonde (True West Award winner for Best Musical, nomination for Best Director of a Musical) (Arvada Center) Other credits include Over the River and Through the Woods (Cherry Creek Theatre), Guys and Dolls: in Concert (Lone Tree Arts Center) and Forever Plaid (Post Playhouse). Gavin holds a MFA in Directing from Florida State.

M CURTIS GRITTNER (Director, Beau Jest)

Mike is excited to direct his first production for CCT. Additional productions he’s directed in Colorado include 39 Steps, Two Dumb Dogs, Guys on Ice, and Greater Tuna for Breckenridge Backstage Theatre. Other notable productions include: A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Educating Rita, Lion in Winter, Man of La Mancha, Proof, The Robber Bridegroom, Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead, and Twelfth Night. Mike served four seasons as the Artistic Director at the Paul Bunyan Playhouse in Minnesota.  Mike holds an MA from the University of Arizona and is currently pursuing an MFA with the University of Idaho.  * SDC Associate Member

KARALYN STAR PYTEL (Lighting Design)

Star has been doing Lighting Design in and around the Denver Metro Area for well over 10 years.  Some of Star’s accolades include A Henry Nomination for “Best Lighting Design”, 3 Denver Post Ovation Nominations for “Best Lighting Design” and a few David Marlowe awards for “Best Lighting Design.”   Some of Star’s recent credits include “Marie” and “Boomtown” with Wonderbound Ballet, “Songs for a New World” at Miners Alley Playhouse, and “All My Sons” at Cherry Creek Theatre. This is Star’s  3rd season with Cherry Creek and would like to thank Mark and Maxine, and Pat for yet another wonderful experience.  Starlite Productions LLC.

M CURTIS GRITTNER (Set Design)
Designer, Director, and Teacher, Mike, has designed for Backstage Theatre, The Catamounts, Ignite Theatre, MACC, and Phamaly Theatre Company in CO; Paul Bunyan Playhouse and Bemidji State University in MN; and Phipps Center for the Arts in WI. He has constructed scenery for Chanhassen Dinner Theatres, Troupe America, Idaho Repertory Theatre, Greasepaint, Southwest Scenic Group, YWWP and the Denver Center Theatre Company. He is a former Artistic Director for the Paul Bunyan Playhouse in Minnesota.

TOM QUINN (Sound Design)
Tom is happy to be back with CCT as resident sound designer. Thanks to Pat for the opportunity, and to the crew and cast for welcoming him into the Family. Past design credits include “Ain’t Misbehaving” & “Miss Saigon” – with Vintage Theatre, ’Tick..Tick..BOOM!!”, “RENT”, “35mm”, “See What I Wanna See”, “Next to Normal”, among others – with Ignite Theatre. Please, Enjoy the show!”

LISA COOK (Stage Manager)
Lisa has worked for the Cherry Creek Theatre as the SM for “4,000 Miles”, “Over the River and  Through the Woods” and Production Assistant for “Baby.”  She is currently the resident Stage Manager at the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities, since 2004.  Won’t choose between the Jackets and the Dawgs because she has relatives who attended both Universities.
